Hello everyone, My name is Helena, and welcome to Beyond-Counseling!
I'm a licensed clinical social worker intern at Beyond-Counseling. For over 5 years, I have been dedicated to helping my clients effectively manage their symptoms and improve their quality of life as an ESE Education teacher, school guidance counselor, and clinical social work mental health provider.

I currently work with a variety of populations that include children, adolescents, couples, families, and adults. My diverse clinical and educational background has enabled me to treat anxiety, depression, complex childhood and adult trauma, ADHD, learning disorders, eating disorders, social skills, social anxiety, bullying, and self-esteem. My ultimate goal is to use my skills and knowledge to create meaningful change in the lives of my clients.

Building a strong therapeutic relationship is essential for anyone’s healing journey. I strive to create a safe and judgment-free space for you to be vulnerable and welcomed when telling your story. I use the power of different techniques including narrative therapy to build rapport. Narrative therapy has been a great tool to help my clients make sense of their experiences to uncover their underlying feelings and needs. As the creator of your story, I will help you re-write your narrative through empowerment, healing, and self-discovery. We will work together to equip you with finding balance and happiness by expanding your emotional "tool kit.”I believe that every individual is unique and should be provided with the most personalized care that works best for them. Also, through the counseling process, I will use a variety of interventions to help you achieve your goals, and reduce your symptoms to unblock you from living the best version of yourself. Together, we’ll focus on acquiring the skills necessary to apply these techniques in everyday real-life situations successfully.  I am here to help you choose a different path in your life utilizing therapeutic techniques for both your personal growth and healing.
